Vitaliy Baranov (Ukrainian: Віталій Баранов) is a Ukrainian ice dancer. He was born on 18 January 1975 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Originally, Baranov skated with Olga Mudrak and represented his home country of Ukraine. In 1998, he teamed up with Marika Humphreys on the ice and began representing Great Britain. The couple was married in 1999 and captured gold medals at the British Ice Figure and Dance Championships in 2000 and 2001. They competed together at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, finishing 15th in the ice dancing event.[1]
